You don't concentrate on risks. You concentrate on results. No risk is too great to prevent the necessary job from getting done.

Caught these at PHX today.

Mitchell, you must have thrown the right virgin into the right volcano because you caught some amazing shots today - Salmon-Thirty-Salmon, the Green Knights colorbird, and my personal white whale, "Maryland One."  Outstanding!

I know, plus a Go-Jet from Hawaii.

V-nice! The Salmon-Thirty-Salmon is my white whale. Sat directly in front of it for 4 hours at Sea-Tac without any hope of a shot.  >:(

Does anyone know that this bar is resting over the Cockpit glass?

I also was glad to catch this bird.

Finally caught one of Swift's birds departing PHX yesterday:

Mitchell,

I believe the bar is used by the pilots to gauge where they are, in relation to the jetway, while pulling into the gate.  When the windshield contacts the bar, they are in place and set the brakes.

Joe,

Nice catch on the Swift bird.  That 500 lens really brings it in nicely.

Thanks Dave.  This was shot at 403mm.  The Sigma still does pretty well at that focal length.

Had a hell of a time editing this one though.  The angle the sun was at really washed out a lot of the detail.  That hot spot in front of the forward cabin door is what the entire fuselage looked like in the original.

Joe,

I know exactly what you mean.  I have the same issue with the same plane, over in Special Liveries.
