Even when they were flight checking our tacan he would have contacted PHX before entering class B south of Luke. Then they flew over to Scottsdale for fuel and lunch and then flew back to Luke to finish the checks at the AUX-1 airfield.

They also hit Chandler and Casa Grande that day.

Very cool photo young man. You don't get many afterburner shots at a civilian field. They do stand out at night.

I tried a few different methods to capture those AB departures and this was the best. My other efforts look like a government LSD experiment gone bad

Impressive! Interesting that they fold the wings. I suppose it minimizes the likelihood of someone crashing into one the very expensive ECM pods.
