Thanks Guys.  I know what you mean about the noise.  There was nothing else like it.

With an approach speed of over 200 mph, these babies were a challenge to shoot with Kodachrome 25 (ISO 25) and a 35mm camera with no motor drive.  You could see them coming back from the range from a long distance.  All you could see at first was the landing light and some black smoke.  They typically made a very flat approach and came in over the fence really low.

Great Starfighter shots Scott!
I remember watching them out at Luke as a kid. They were loud and low!

Gorgeous shot, Harvey.  Hard to find a bad angle on the -38, but that front-quarter angle is the best.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Thank you Joe, I went out to shoot these two 38s leaving and the ops guy offered to take me out to the runway with him if I would share the photos with him, DEAL!

Nice Mudhen Harvey.
Are the F-15's in town for a while, or was this a lone bird?

Tower Guy

Bill, two of them came here two weeks ago for a fighter pilot get together and this one broke. His wingman when home the next day.  Take care.
