I was out in the yard with the dog with the dog when I saw this coming in.  Ran into the house, grabbed a body, attached a lens and caught him on base.  Now, if he would have just extended his downwind by a quarter mile or so, I'd have had a better view

Harvey, Very nice photo of the beast.  I find the C-17 to be somewhat difficult make look good.  Looks great here.  Nicely framed on the mountains between the sky and foreground.
