A little lighting and the right pose and you can bring out the inner beauty in anything!

Jay, what did you use to light your tank shots?

Very cool images....  Looks like you and Rob had a lot of fun.   :)

Jay Beckman

I used two Canon 600RT Speedlights...

Yeah, it was definitely different!

^^^^ Gorgeous photograph Scott. You've got to love AZ landscapes. The early moonrise was a nice touch. That masonry wall blends wonderfully with the natural environs.

Thanks Jeff! I just happened to be walking out of the door at Starbucks when I noticed the almost full moon and clouds near Camelback. Fortunately I had a camera with me.

Thank you Anna! I wish I had taken more variations of this and other similar shots.  I still have some kind of "film" mentality that causes me to be conservative with how many shots I take.  Maybe it's the hours I spend weeding out the non-keepers!

Nicely done Scott. The "macro" composition and limited DOF really adds to the beauty of this image. Do you have a new ride in your garage? I love the old gauges on these old euro sports cars. I assume they are illuminated using tallow candles  ;)

Thank you Jeff! That was taken at a car show Saturday in Phoenix. All Italian vehicles including some scooters and motorbikes. I suspect the car was worth more than I make in a year. My favorite was a 1960 Fiat 600 Multipla. Not sexy but fun. I'll post a shot later.

Scott,

Was this car show at/near Park Central Mall?  My wife works across the street and said there were a bunch of cars, tents and things going on over there yesterday.

Dave, this show was at 12th Street north of Glendale Rd. Not a very big event but they did have buses moving people from remote parking areas which was nice.  And it was free!
