How do you get that close to a hawk?  It's like he was nailed to the perch.

Ned, wonderful photo you created. I really like your photos, especially your pp skills. Thanks.  Lynn

Scott: One of my raptor banding friends was my house guest this week. We went out together on 4 consecutive days and trapped 15 raptors. He has State and Federal perrmits to do this. This image was taken with my Canon 24-105 L lens. It was a fun week. Lots more images on flickr.

Are these miniature horses and people, or is that a very large can of Coors?

Nice shot Ned.

Has to be mini horses and midgets. I've seen mini cattle. They use them to make those little White Castle burgers.  ;D

Couple O' birding shots.

I walked outside Sunday and heard two hawks calling each other. I spotted one on the neighbor's roof. The other was directly above me on my roof. I wasn't quite fast enough with the camera, but I still like this departing shot.

I'm not sure what this bird is, but I was down feeding the horses one morning and I had my little Canon P&S with me, so I took the shot.

I've been keeping yellow finch around by filling a seed sock with nyjer seed.

I took a few shots of them this afternoon.
