Just got my 24-70 serviced by Canon so I took it out to Lake Pleasant to shake it out...

Here is what pilots departing KPHX this afternoon/evening were faced with. As Goose would say; "Come on, Mav, do some of that pilot shit".

Very cool capture Jeff, the cloud layers and lighting are superb, well processed also.

Not exactly works of art, but a couple of shots from my recent ride on the Continental Divide trail through New Mexico and Colodado.

On the road as the sun comes up, heading first to Santa Fe. This was a 650 mile day. The ride home would be about 820 miles in a single day, which included about 100 miles of dirt early in the morning.

A classy joint north of Del Rito, New Mexico.

Somewhere north of the New Mexico/Colorado border at about 9,000 feet.

Should had a 30-30 instead of an SX-30.

Great images from your road trip Scott. Especially like the old log cabin photo. Looks like you had a great experience.

I decided to try a b&w toned conversion of the color image from page 121. I prefer this version as I feel it presents a more dramatic quality. C&C welcome.

"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

Lightning strike near Flagstaff on Saturday, July 20.

I posted a time lapse movie of the weather, including this lightning, on YouTube.
