The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

+1 - Very, very cool. You really nailed it with this image Scott. Glorious background and the helo appears to be tack sharp nose to tail. The lighting isn't bad either  ;)

Thanks Jeff! I had wanted to take a shot like that ever since I was a teenager.  Just switch out the HH-1N with an OV-10A from VMO-2 or VAL-4 and that would have been my dream shot. In reality the brightly colored Huey probably looks better over the sand.
