Tower Guy

I don't quite know how you shot this guy with such clarity with the low light, but you did. Beauty Joe.

When you hadn't posted earlier today, I got concerned that Colbath ran you into a ditch again on the late night drive home  ;)   ;D

Come on now. I didn't actually run him into the ditch. I just encouraged Jay to get out of my way.  ;D

Here's a couple of mine.

The below shots I did with my 400 prime. I just wanted to do something different, and sort of put a limitation on what I was going to capture, and try to work with that.

Dropping anchor.

Back to the 24-70 here, and the ISO cranked up.

Messrs. Colbath; did you photograph Goshawk 124 from the centerline? That is about as dead-nuts a centered image as it gets  ;D

Jeff,

I'm pretty sure Scott remained on the edge of the runway.  His awesome looking, perfectly centered and aligned shot was a result of flight crews crabbing during their approach to counter the pretty stiff quartering crosswind that was present most of the afternoon.

"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

Thanks Dave for clarifying. I was very, very worried that Scott might have actually been on the centerline. It's good to know I was mistaken.

Jeff, let's just say that I am smart enough to follow the rules, but stupid enough to stand on the centerline if they would ever let me.  ;D

Allow me to submit this video as proof.
