They seem to fly like that fairly routinely, perhaps that's the first tank they feed from?

Could also be to serve as ballast for a 1,000-lb-class weapon on the opposing outboard station, but like I said, I've seen it frequently enough on non-ordnance hops that I think it's fairly standard practice.  I'll see if I can get a definitive answer.

I'll second that motion.  Barry's Eagle is quite nice as well.  Lots of good stuff coming out of Red Flag this year.

+1. I really like the "quiet" light on your Strike Eagle Barry. Was that early morning or late evening activity? Maybe just heavy overcast?
