Per team post on Facebook, Trojan Horsemen are a scratch due to budget issues.

So let me get this strait.
We cannot bring our camera bags?
You don't concentrate on risks. You concentrate on results. No risk is too great to prevent the necessary job from getting done.

Correct.  That was the deal at the last Luke show (where a photo vest came in very handy).

Just do like I did at last years Yuma show, have big pockets, cargo shorts can carry a couple lenses, memory cards, batteries, a sandwich

KeithS

Three years ago, I took a small shoulder bag with one camera and two lenses.  They let me on the bus.  This year, I have the Think Tank belt and a couple of pouches.  If they say no, plan B is to carry in hand and then store in cargo pants.

But a women's  purse the size of a steamer trunk overflowing with crap is perfectly acceptable. It is what it is but I've never heard a rational explanation let alone an explanation for why camera bags aren't allowed to these events. Honestly I don't care but would be curious to know what the issue is with camera bags at air shows.....
No offense to the women out there :) :)

Go buy a radio flyer wagon or a stroller! They're on the approved list!

Chris V

I use a pretty small camera bag / "backpack" and have had the police tell me that's not going on base and then when I go through security they let it pass. Not saying it will work this time but so far its worked at a lot of bases Nellis included.

azbill

Any word on if they are running buses as shuttles as they did several years ago, or are we parking near the base and standing in line?

KeithS

According to the website, both are available.  Shuttle parking SE corner of Peoria/Litchfield, walk-in parking SE corner of Glendale/Litchfield.  $10 each location.  Below the maps, I now see this as allowable:  Cameras w/bags (my italics)

So what actually showed up from that static list?  Anyone going out tomorrow?
