Really like that one, Matt.  Looks like a legit vintage shot.

SIXGUN

Thanks to Jeff Welker for the nudge on processing this one.  Wasn't on my list of shots to process, but he saw it while I was chimping shots on Saturday and asked me about it today.  Glad I gave it a second look.

Now to pay it forward, I think it's time for Harvey to post his shot of the sunset through the engine cowling of that Lockheed JetStar.

RIGHT ROUND LIKE A RECORD, BABY

Been after this shot since our first night shoot last June, finally had the resources to make it happen this time.  Sadly, the shadows cast on the tail from the lights of a nearby baseball field kind of kill the shot, but it is what it is.

Thanks for your comment on my photo Joe. I think you are being a little hard on yourself reference your tail shot. We always what a shot to be perfect but how often does that really happen. The shadows on the tail are from other aircraft so it fits. I'll bet if you ask lots of other people there wouldn't be a negative comment about the shadow. You've got NASA and star trails, great shot!

Thanks Harvey.  To be fair, I think I did alright.  I had to make some compromises, and given my options, I think I made the right ones.  I like the shot, and wouldn't be posting it here if I didn't.  The baseball field lights were simply an unexpected variable that altered the shot from what I had planned in my mind.  Not so much being hard on myself as I am just trying to explain that this didn't quite turn out how I had envisioned it, which is something I think everybody in the group has experienced from time to time.

Thanks Joe!  That's what I was going for, and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
