The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Lest anyone be concerned about this apparent FOD hazard so close to the flight line, I did have a FOD guard (i.e. Scott) standing just out of frame, ready to grab this beautiful specimen if it happened to get knocked by any jet blast.
