That is an outstanding shot Bill!  Sharp as a tack and a very nice angle for the T-33.  What lens were you using?

Thank you Scott. I was using my Nikon 300mm f/4.

I concur Bill. One of the best photographs I've seen of Ace Maker.

My father's favorite "photo-ship" for A2A work. He racked-up a ton of hours in this particular T-Bird; including several sorties to Edwards for the beginning of the X-15 program. And yes, I'm also looking for those negatives. While I have my fingers crossed, I'm of the opinion most of those never came home  ;)

I don't know what's more shocking - the lack of any infrastructure in the background or the smog.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

I'm guessing that the smog is either dust kicked-up by farming or the result of my less that excellent scanning equipment. Once I've got the original negative cleaned and properly scanned, it should look much better. It is amazing that the trees are the tallest features between the ANG ramp and the Superstitions to the east. It sure looks different today.
