Great to see some CH-53D's still in service!
This one attached flying with HMH-363.

Tack-sharp shot of that Delta Joe!  We caught one the day we were down there, and I was really happy - my first one.

Thanks Joe - They won't be around for much longer; hopefully there will be more in April.
All of the 3rd Mar Div squadrons were participating except for HMH-362; they are deployed.

Are these all still concentrated at Kaneohe, or are some based on the mainland now?

Kaneohe has all the deltas now; this was the 1st WTI that I've ever seen the "Lucky Red Lyons"; I flew with them while in Okinawa in 1997, so it was nice to see them again. Also the deltas have the light gull grey overall paint instead of the typical Dk Ghost/Lt Ghost scheme.  Can't wait until April!!!

Joe Copalman

Yeah, I noticed the overall light gray scheme.  The one we caught had a gloss finish, which I thought was odd:

Joe Copalman

Thanks Joe.  We had some absolutely killer light for the recoveries that day.

One of two CH-53E's from the Hammerheads assaulting an LZ during FINEX/WTI 1-10.

Now I like to know how I can get one of them homes in the backround and a long lense.
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

I couldn't agree more sir... ;D
