I am still impressed by this:  Hopping out of a private bizjet into a private A-4 Skyhawk and back into a private bizjet.  Not a bad deal.

I have more hits in Flickr on this photograph than any other I have posted. I am still getting hits today after almost a month. If anybody on AzAP has a suggestion as to why I  would like to know. The aircraft has a plain paint job and the photograph itself is not all that great.

I'm often baffled by which of my photos show up with a lot of views all of a sudden.

It's possible that somebody a link to yours out on Facebook or someplace like that. I had a guy ask me if he could use a photo I took of his airplane and he put it on his Facebook page. I suddenly started seeing a bunch of views of that photo. I guess he must have created a link to my photo rather than uploading the one I sent him.

Sometimes it will get included in another forum's pages. I have a photo of the GAU-8 on display at the DM airshow that got 1900 hits in 2 days and traced back to a Pakistani aviation forum with no mention of the image anywhere, the link is buried in a post somewhere. Go figure.

Bill,

Try using the Stats info in Flickr to try to figure out where the hits are coming from.

Example - on a plain picture of a Southwest Canyon Blue coming into Sky Harbor;

I got a surge of hits two weeks ago - but by using the Stats &Referrer info - I traced it back to Southwest's own Twitter feed;

They had used the picture to show how to tell if the airplane had on-board WiFi.

Gabby Giffords and family enroute to Houston for rehab. Jan 21, 2011.

Shot in a business park SE of DM, opposite side of the centerline from James.
This was a sad time in Tucson and I wanted to convey that in this photo.

That's an interesting airplane. It was the first of its type built back in 2001. It was originally called the Bombardier Continental, which explains what is on the tail. Renamed the Challenger 300 in 2002.
