Anna,

It's about 20 feet tall...if you count Terminal 2's parking garage as a ladder.  ;)

When I saw they were landing on 08, I headed to the top of Terminal 2's parking garage.  There's one or two spots where you can catch the touchdown point between the tree trunks and light poles.

Good to know about T2.  I need to check that out one of these days.

Thanks Scott! About as much of a freezer as it could get, this was taken back in December during AzAP's Holiday Heavies meet-up.

...and two more of SECDEF Carter's arrival this morning.  (When I have some time, I'll go back and remove the guys that had the best seat for this morning's arrival).

You know that little voice that tells you that maybe you should just stay at one location and not move?
Yeah, I left mine at home on 4/8/15

Cropped from the East Cell Lot instead of in your face from 40th St...   :'(

One of my favorite times of year to photograph at PHX. Rubbing shoulders with good people and some of the best aviation shooters on the planet. Oh, I almost forgot, some terrific cargo traffic too  ;)  ;D - HOLIDAY HEAVIES REVISITED

Nothing special about the light but it was the first time I tried using the Fujifilm X-T1 for aircraft in flight.  Worked pretty well but not the ideal camera for the job. Seems less noisy that the 7D MarkII at least at ISO 400. Fujinon 55-200 lens seems very sharp.
