The American livery is growing on my too, slowly.  I found this online last night, I think this would have been better.

Was able to catch her departure this morning (appreciate American Airlines for having her spend the night here).  Got the classic 'tower-crossing' shot on her departure this morning.

Excellent shot Dave. Its flight plan indicates that it will make another touch and go at Sky Harbor this afternoon. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL9784

Brian and Jay, thanks for the compliment.  Wondering if her return this afternoon will be as fruitful.

The 787 just flew by our south facing windows at around 10:40. Headed east off of runway 8. Beautiful sight!

Back in 2012, thanks to a heads-up from Joe, I was able to catch the following aircraft departing Sky Harbor.

de Havilland Canada CT-142 Dash-8 "Gonzo"
Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF)
No. 402 "City of Winnipeg" Squadron

I sent them a copy of the photo, and the squadron loved it so much that they now give it to all their graduates and it is also on their air show display board.

So today they were back, and they invited me out for a closer look.

Thanks Jeff!  As you can see, I decided not to gamble with them coming south, Rylan and I moved from 40th Street to Air Lane about five minutes before she arrived.
