I will (tentatively) stick a toe into the ring here. What an amazing thread of photos! Some of this will clearly date when the last time I was at KPHX was...

Nicholas,

Welcome to the group.  Nice opening salvo of shots.  I really like the black and white image.   :)

Killer image Anna. Your low light work at PHX is phenomenal.

Hey Nick, good to see you posting here my fine young friend. The monochrome image of the MD-83 is absolutely terrific.

For those not familiar with Nick's photography, he's been producing phenomenal aviation imagery for some time. His LAX night work is top drawer.

Thank you Scott, Jeff and Harvey....

I was a couple power poles west of the usual spot at 40th St.  Was surprised when this UPS jet landed on the inner runway.  Made for a nice tower crossing opportunity.

Honeywell's 757.  It took off from the north runway and I was at the south side of the river.  All things considered I'm surprised I got a halfway decent shot.

Scott, this is more than a halfway decent shot, it is lit perfectly and photographed the same, plus it is tack sharp. Beauty!

Thanks Harvey!  I used the 300mm f/2.8 with 2x on the 7D Mark II.  Equivalent to 960mm. It almost filled the frame. I was lucky there was't much heat distortion.
