Bill, Anna, and Scott; your kind words are sincerely appreciated. Playing with the tilt-shift filter in post processing is fun and challenging. Trying to decide when to use it and trying to use it judiciously is difficult for me. I've had the most fun with it at PHX. And yes, it often makes the planes look like toys. It looks cool to me

Thanks Scott. With respect to these two images, my intent was to try and minimize some of the clutter in the foreground and background. I wanted to massage the DOF to (hopefully) separate any distracting elements from the primary subject. When I do it correctly it really does make things POP
