Assuming this is true (and it seems to be), I'm very excited for the firmware upgrade. RAW burst being increased from 15 frames to 26 frames is awesome.

For more information please visit the following link to view an online video about the new EOS 7D firmware features, http://www.usa.canon.com/eos7dfirmwareupgrade

If you have a 7D in your arsenal, this is great news. I am certainly smiling from ear-to-ear ;D

Just wish I did not have to wait until August.

Yowser! can't wait for this. I can probably capture a drag race from beginning to end with 25 shots. If I only had that for the Antron Brown crash in Phoenix. Back then I was shooting my 30D and it choked on about the tenth shot. I missed the fireball, but captured the car losing its wheel and going over on its ear.

How long did it take?

Once I had the camera connected to my computer, it took less than 10-minutes. Your mileage may vary depending on bandwidth and internet provider.

Probably a fix for the freezing that some cameras supposedly are experiencing

Chris Kennedy

Firmware version 2.0.3 incorporates the following fixes.
1. Fixes a phenomenon in which the camera stops working when the auto power off setting takes effect.
2. Fixes a phenomenon in which the maximum number of images that can be captured in a burst may be less than the actual number displayed in the viewfinder.
3. Corrects some errors in the message displayed on the LCD screen when saving RAW images developed in the camera.
