This was Plan C Vs what I saw in my head when we got out there, but the sky didn't cooperate entirely.

It never ceases to amaze me just how much even the tiniest amount of light will register at high(er) ISOs.  The illumination on the plane is from the new runway lights along the N/S runway.

Thank you Joe....   Ross has some great images as well from what I saw on the back of his camera.

The plan was for Milky Way images. The clouds had other ideas.  Also think there may be a bit to much light pollution. Not quite far enough east and a few to many lights on the ramp.

Had permission from the airport manager to be out on the ramp after dark.

The experience of shooting at night with the "borrowed" Samyang 14mm made me decide to go get my own Rokinon version.
It's a gem of a lens and surprisingly affordable.

Is that 14mm built specifically for APS-C sensors, or is it a true 14mm for full-frame sensors?
