Jay, here the clear winner is the monochrome. The colors in the top image don't go together well especially the massive green canopy shade. The colors distract from the image where the monochrome makes the eye look at more detail like the landing gear and belly of the fuselage. This is a great choice for the conversion, well done.
Also agree with Harvey and Jeff. Love T-28s.

I don't know what it was about the fly in this month, but I seemed to have found something in my shooting and/or processing....

Arriving for the January 2015 Coolidge, Arizona Breakfast Fly-In.

This was shot with the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | S on a Canon 1D Mark IV body.  600mm, f22, 1/60, iso 250   The sensor was pretty dirty on the rental camera.  Biggest complaint from the morning shoot is the lens being heavy.  Will be interested on how the newly announced lighter weight version of this lens performs.

Anna, see what you mean about the sensor! Still a great shot. Will keep an eye on the two Sigmas once the other version is out. That is s nice range. Would great for off-base Red Flag. The new Canon 100-400mm is proving be exceptional.
