Chris P, I was actually further back than I normally am, as I wanted to make sure I had wiggle-room while panning.  Too many clipped noses and tails on the stuff I really want shots of in the past.  Not this time.

I looked at the original just before heading out the door for work this morning, and yes, there is a good amount of room up front.  Actually, it's pretty well-framed SOOC, so I'm sure the crop was just a force-of-habit thing than anything deliberate.  May give it another go with more room.  Thanks for the feedback.
