There are actually quite a few Hummel Birds out there.

The plane weighs 300 lbs empty!

Fly It Like You STOL It...!

Man alive Jay - you and the 135mm f/2L produce some magical images. The bokeh is not overdone and the image isolation is absolutely perfect. It appears the 135 might be slightly more forgiving than Canon's 85mm f/1.2L. You've got excellent sharpness across the Maule (nose to tail), even though it does not appear you were perpendicular.

Great vision and execution!

Thanks Jeff...  The 135 isn't a lens most would equate with this kind of shooting but then, maybe that's the point!  :D

Good job nailing the "horns" shot - 6.3fps at 1/80th on that guy and I got nuthin' from that entire pass, not even the standard Copalman tack-sharp-with-the-tip-of-nose-cut-off shot that always seems to mock me.

Very nice series of images from Coolidge Joe. You really stood on your tip toes to get such a great angle on the 140  ;)

Gorgeous 180 about to touch down.  Hoping to see more of this aircraft in the future.  Love the paint scheme.
