Awesome shot of the Fairchild 24W-40 with the Warner up front... not often you see them!  I've never seen it in the area before... anyone know if it's local?

I've seen it at Casa Grande for both Copperstate and the Cactus Fly In over the last few years.

Actual registered address is in Meridian, Mississippi but it's tagged as a "Southwest Region" aircraft on airportdata.com.

Interestingly, AntiqueAirfield.com posted a small photo essay on this very airplane today and it's story... the PDF photo essay links from the blog entry at: http://www.antiqueairfield.com/articles/show/539-stella-a-fairchild-24-story - looks like the plane is based in Chandler.  She's a beaut!

Loved this image when the Yak pulled into view behind the CJ-6.

Uh-oh.  He's going to fly directly into his jetwash.  That's how you get into flat spins and then Goose dies.

I initially thought this was a regular T-34C painted up as one of the YT-34C prototypes.  Turns out it's the real deal.  Hooray for honesty in warbird markings!

This weekend 05/01/10, Look at what came in.

"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."
