One of my Iraqi F-16 photos is the lead photo of the article "VIPERS OF BABYLON"  in the October issue of Combat Aircraft Magazine

That is awesome Bill...  Congratulations!

Managed a hat trick with three issues of AFM in a row running with articles I wrote.  My Angel Thunder article ran in October, my VMAT-203 article is in the November issue currently on shelves at B&N, and the December issue with my article on the Royal Navy's 845 NAS and their recent conversion to the Merlin just came out in the UK and online.  Managed a cover shot on that last one, which was not expected since covers usually go to shots of pointy grey jets.

Whoa!!!  That is fantastic Joe.  Hard work is reaping some rewards.  Nicely done.   :)

Thanks everyone.  Been a busy few months, that's for sure.  Looking forward to taking it easy over the holidays.

I know I've been quiet on the forum lately, and I apologize for that.  Between my big-boy job, my kids getting older and having things like homework and hobbies, and an uptick in the amount of writing I've been doing, my time to just go out and shoot for pure enjoyment has waned big time.  Hoping to remedy that this fall with Coolidge, Copperstate, and better light and lower temps at most local airports.

I've got three articles in the most recent (Sept 2016) issue of AirForces Monthly - one short piece on Hawgsmoke 2016, another short piece on VMA-211's transition from the Harrier to the F-35, and a feature on the RQ-7B UAV in Marine Corps service.  Managed to land a cover shot as well, this one from an AzAP trip to BMGR where we got an amazing air show from the AATC Warthog guys.

I also had an article on NAF El Centro in the August issue and a WTI article in the July issue.  So yeah.  Been busy.

Thought either I or Jay had posted something about this, but it looks like neither of us did.  Jay had several of his legendary air-to-air shots of Sentimental Journey accompany an article I wrote on SJ for Aviation News a few months ago.  It was my first warbird feature - still not an area I'm entirely comfortable with, but I greatly enjoyed writing it.
