Larry Perkins has confirmed that he is bringing Race 57 to the Cactus Fly-in:

"I plan to fly Race 57 down and back Friday and Saturday. Robert may bring Race 74, too. I plan to depart Stellar and join Robert in the air if he goes. The Stellar runway is too short for landing Race 74 with no wing flaps."

The Cactus Fly-in was a serious blow-out.  90-degree crosswinds kept a lot of airplanes away.

Race 57 showed up at about 10:00 in the company of the NA-50.

Bob Odegaard did not bring Race 74. He showed up in Stang going on noon.

Maid in the Shade was there, but not Sentimental Journey.

There was a highly polished Beech 18 from Wasilla, Alaska that was also at the Copperstate Fly-in last year.

Larry Perkins will take Race 57 back to Stellar this afternoon.  He plans to return in the morning.  Bob Odegaard suggested that he might take Race 74 to Coolidge and then continue on to Casa Grande tomorrow if the winds are favorable,

121 is on display? If it is, I'm showing up regardless of the weather.

Tricky winds today made for some interesting landings. This Howard came down hard and bounced a couple of times. You don't often see tire smoke from this type of airplane.

Wow!  Had I known this was there, I would have made a detour on my way home from Coolidge.  Almost looks like an intermediate airframe between a P-51 and a CA-15.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."
