A most excellent opening salvo Scott...!

...with extreme prejudice.
Thanks Jay - Likewise! - I could kick myself for not hauling the 500mm out to the Blues Demo.  Time to buy the shoulder straps for that new bag.

Thanks Jeff! Your first post of the four taking off is surreal. Very impressive. I was eating scrambled eggs at Denny's at that time.  I have my priorities straight.

I should probably attempt to clone out the arresting gear but...

Truly Angelic...

Very nice. For the few moments we had it, that light was superb.

Thanks Jeff!

Pretty pissed over my keeper percentage this time around, I opted to leave my 400 in the car and pack light. So I used my 70-200 w/1.4X. For whatever reason the 1.4X was causing the shots to come out way soft and the LCD on the MKII is crap so they look good on there till you get them on the computer and look. Oh well next time....

Jay I didn't find anything of real interest around the Salton Sea. The old hotel has been leveled etc. I am sure you could find something to shoot but I opted to keep moving. The dunes did turn out pretty cool though. I'll post one of those in the Non AV thread.

This is the one that I remember smacked me the hardest with its afterburner.
