That is sure a great illustration of it. Joe and I theorized that it might be because the cannon recoil forces the nose of the aircraft down slightly. Just a guess though. It's also possible that they do it on purpose for some reason. Somebody needs to ask an A-10 pilot sometime.

Thanks Scott.  Saw him lining up for the "sneak" pass and tried to get an "in the weeds" shot.  Sadly, in the weeds also means he was in the heat haze, so overall image quality is in the crapper, but I still liked the look of it.

It's a nice shot Joe. An angle not many people get see and live to tell about!  :o
