According to ground crew, new paint is on the way this month or next, but that possibly by the end of year we will get the FL one here in Carson and "The Spirit of America" will get retired.  Painting it doesn't make sense but hey they have the $$$.

The Goodyear blimp Spiit of Innovation landed at Goodyear, Arizona this afternoon. It is the last Goodyear blimp. The others have been replaced with Zeppelins. It will be flying a "customer day" tomorrow. On Tuesday it is scheduled to depart for its new home base in Carson, California. It is slated to be replaced by a Zeppelin next year.
