I was so very happy this afternoon to receive an email from my Aunt Bonnie with this photo. This is my Uncle Sam with his P-40. He was part of the Flying Tigers and was KIA in China. The quote above is from the letter sent by General C.L. Chennault to the family in 1944. I hope someday to have the original photo in my hand so I can make a high resolution scan. Until then, I am absolutely thrilled to have this.
