Anybody fly on Southwest? Is it worth it to pay the extra $10 for earlybird check in?

I do that on a regular basis.  If you fly enough you'll become an A-List flyer and the "earlybird check-in" becomes automatic without the extra ten bucks per travel leg.

I have found that if you don't pay the $10 for EarlyBird that you will most likely be in the second boarding group, even if you check-in 24 hours in advance online.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

I think it is well worth the $10 if you are traveling with photo gear and want to sit near your roll-on bag.

FWIW, I paid for Early Bird on my recent Seattle trip and it got me like an A-2X going up...

I ended up changing my return flight and had to give up the EB status which got me a B32 but I still got a window like four rows in front of the aft bulkhead (and there was still lots of room in the overheads toward the back.)
