The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

What a great aircraft.  I remember these flying out of Luke AFB in the early seventies.  They seemed to be using Camelback Road as a navigation aid because they were always just north of Camelback High School going east or west at fairly low altitude.  Their schedule frequently coincided with gym class.
