Very cool catch Matt. Do you know if this group of aircraft were departing tonight or in the morning for "willie"?

Thanks Ross!  They will be heading to "Willie" sometime tomorrow.

After seeing both yours and Tom's photo's from KSDL I am disappointed that I didn't make it over there while these gorgeous birds were there.  You guys caught some great images. This one though is crispy like bacon.

Thanks Ross! Tom and I had a lot of fun, waited well past sunset for Betty Jane's last flight to return. It's always good to see these airplanes, and you just can't beat Scottsdale's backdrop.

That's a nice shot of Witchcraft Matt.  It was definitely a lot of fun out there on Sunday.

Scott - this was part of the Collings Foundation annual Wings of Freedom Tour.

Thanks, I should pay more attention to these things! I was at a car show that morning near Bell and Thompson Peak Parkway and saw the B-24 fly over and later a P-51. Had only short lenses with me so I didn't stop at Scottsdale.

Awesome set of shots, guys!  Matt, that dusk shot of Betty Jane is just awesome.  Really wish I could have made it to SDL over the weekend, but was dealing with a complete replacement of a drip system in my front yard.   >:(
