That's "go out and buy a lottery ticket immediately after shooting" luck right there.  I think there are only 6 or 7 airworthy JetStars in the world right now.  Hell of a catch, and well-shot.

Yes indeed, rare and very cool. Great shot!

Thanks guys!  I knew the JetStar was a rare catch, but I didn't know they were this rare.  I'll let you know, I was pretty excited when I looked up and saw her on approach.

^^^^ Absolutely excellent photograph of the Cirrus Tom. IMHO, your best work from this location. That is until you post your next image from KSDL  ;)  ;D

Thanks Jeff, but you are setting the bar too high for me saying it was my best post from that location.  I'm sure to let you down on my next post ;D

That is truly a beautiful aircraft photograph Tom, well done!

That is a great shot. Aside from the aesthetics it's a great study of the aerodynamic configuration of the aircraft.  Nice looking and aerodynamically clean machine.

Thank you Harvey.  I'm glad it flew late in the day yesterday so I would have great light to shoot in.

+1 for me Tom. Any chance you also captured one of your patented slow shutter speed panning shots of this bad boy near touch down? If so, I'd love to see you post that also.

Thanks Jeff.  Regarding a panning shot of Nine O Nine, it landed long on Friday so I was essentially panning against the sky from where I was standing.  I had a better chance today, so stay tuned ;D
I did catch this one though:
