North American P-51D Mustang "February"

What I thought was going to be a somewhat dull afternoon at Scottsdale yesterday (I had actually already put my camera in the car and was thinking of heading home) turned out to be pretty cool when two P-51s, in formation, roared overhead on their way home from Chino.

Yes, February and Double Trouble Two flew over in formation, did a mid-field break and landed for the night.  I was hoping to catch them going back out on another leg, but I never saw them after they landed.

"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."
