Two VMA-513 Harriers made vertical landings at Willie this evening.  Crosswinds were pretty ferocious, so they entered the pattern from the northwest with the first one corkscrewing down while the second one orbited until the first one was on the ground.  Both of them came in slow and decelerated to a hover, then turned their noses into the wind while they settled to the runway.  Pretty cool to see.
