This visit has apparently been moved from Gateway to Deer Valley.

Grr.  Looks like I'm going to miss it all over again.

Wish I knew what it is about Willie they don't like...

Bigger runways, more of them and far fewer spam cans in the air.

What's not to like?

They might get a better deal on fuel at Deer Valley.

Well, that was enough to lure DynCorp's UH-1s to DVT from IWA...

Could also be because of the limited ramp space at Willie in April.  Two of the DM Herks are already there, and there are supposedly a bunch of Marine KC-130s that will be supporting WTI from Willie due in soon as well.  Not sure when the C-17 Weapons School is coming back through, but that should be any time now, so there's 3-4 C-17s taking up even more space.

CAF is taking registrations on their web site for two flights each day of Fifi's visit, at 10:00 and 2:30. Ride prices are as follows, for those of you with deep pockets.

Front Section Rider   $ 995.00
Rear Section Rider   $ 595.00
Bombardier Seat Rider   $ 1,295.00

I assume they will be arriving on Monday the 11th. They are in Bullhead City the 7th through the 10th.

Does anybody know if SJ and MitS will be at DVT with the B-29 again this year?

Got this from a member of the CAF B-29/B-24 squadron on WIX when I inquired about ETA to Deer Valley on Monday.

Late morning or early afternoon is best guess at this point....will depend if they need to fly some flights to make up for cancellations as a result of current weather issues.

Sentimental Journey was in position for departure on the CAF ramp this evening, looked like they're prepping for a morning trip to Deer Valley.

I'm going to head over and see if I can see a 10 AM launch.  I heard that a person can go to the top of the Cox parking garage and get some good shots.
