You gys are used to military jets at your airports, but here in Europe it is quite special. So I was lucky enough to catch these Dutch F-16's at Amsterdam Schiphol. They were here for an exercise, to train to use Amsterdam as an alternative.

Very nice work on your panning shot Bjorn, maybe you'll see them more often now, good luck.

Bjorn van der Flier

I doubt it Harvey, but thank you for the compliment.

I finally got to finish my set of Frisian Flag 2015, biggest problem was the heatwaves, but as you can see the wing is focussed, I like the whole ambience in this photo.

Dutch F-16AM taking off from Leeuwarden Airbase during Frisian Flag 2016, I't was starting to get very clouded with rainshowers luring. Luckily this F-16 (yes this was the orange one) turned in front of the dark clouds and catching some rays of Sunshine.

Lighting, background, & F-16. What a great combo Bjorn, a real beauty. Will there be another Orange jet or has that come to an end?

Bjorn van der Flier

Thank you for the kind words Harvey.

As for the orange Lion, I'm afraid that's over. For the second year in a row there is no F-16 display team due to shortages of equipment and operational requirements. As the F-35 is making its entry into service, I'm afraid there will be no new team.

Nice air-to-air Harvey.  KC-135 or Sabreliner?

Tower Guy

Thank you Vance, this was from a KC-135.

Tower Guy

You have some very cool shots here Vance, nice work!

wingsnstuff

Thank you Harvey.  They wouldn't have been possible without your sponsorship.   :D
