He was the first one in the entire parade to bother dipping a wing to any great extent. After the Albatross, the pilots did a better job of "showing off" for the crowd.

Earliest passes were nearly impossible to shoot and require extreme crops to even get them to show much at all.

Great photo Kaspar. I had to blink this morning when I first saw it. For some reason, it reminded me of the C-82 used in the movie "Flight of the Phoenix" with Jimmie Stewart. Maybe it is the aged finish on the aluminum skin? Anyhow, thanks for sharing.
