Looks like everyone had a target rich day both on and off base...

Couple of the Warbird participants.  Neither are quite as sharp as I'd really like but I guess when you're out there at 1,000mm, you have to "settle" a little...   :-\

HI Everyone,

Sorry I have not been around and really only met with 1 person so far Bill Word, things have been crazy, finally got my green card etc sorted so I am now here in Tucson for good.

Bad news is my wife was rushed into hospital on 18th Jan a few days later she is being operated on for colon cancer, which they removed part of as it was stage 4, unfortunately the cancer has spread into her liver and lymph glands and she is currently receiving chemo treatment every 2 weeks, but the doctor is optimistic that we can put this cancer into remission.

We have family here from the UK helping out, and my wife and family want me to get out for the day, so I knew the heritage conference was coming up, so earliest I can get down to the airfields is this coming Thursday, but also I have very little knowledge of where to go, I did receive some great instructions from Ned Harris on where to go at DM & TIA so will follow them, but would be great to meet anyone going down this week, if I have missed the conference then Thursday or Friday would be good for me, just contact me if you are going down to either airfield

I can only assume all of you miscalculated and forgot to bring your EF 1200mm f/5.6 L USM lenses and EF 2X III extenders with you to DM  ;)

I figured the 1200 was a kit lens for AzAP photographers  ;D  http://www.flickr.com/photos/jstolpe/3200635047/in/photostream/

Super photos everyone!

What a hoot. I have never seen one in use. That is huge. I'd put that on my Christmas list, but I think it's more like a bucket list item.  ;D
