Coolidge got a lot of breakfast traffic from the Cactus Fly-In last year, but overall, it seems like the Cactus Fly-In was the better event overall.  Those who caught Skydive AZ's DC-3 making that VERY LOW fly-by were some truly lucky people.

Wednesday - Sunday at the same time is when the Heritage Conference at D-M  has been held. Lots of action that weekend, pick and choose Friday-Saturday.

Since this will be my first Cactus Fly-In, what is the protocol for AzAP folks - i.e. what are the photography restrictions?

Don't stand on runway or taxiway ;D, in other words no photography restrictions. Lots of fun. Pancake breakfast, hamburger/hot dog lunch and usually many many airplanes.

Actually, there is one photo restriction - they don't like it when you wander west toward the end of the runway to get touchdown shots, preferring that you stay on the paved areas.

Who's heading to Casa Grande for this?  I'll be out there, most likely with my nephew.  Really looking forward to it.

I'll be coming up Saturday. Is there a gates-open-at time?

I'm planning to go. Nice weather forecast.

They don't show an opening time on their web site, but breakfast starts at 7 and registration at 8.

I got there for Copperstate before 7 and we were able to get in.  I definitely recommend getting there early for uncluttered statics it gorgeous light.

Joe - Does that timing work well for both Friday and Saturday? I'm not sure yet which day I will be there.

I've never gone on a Friday, so I'm not the best person to answer that.
