Trying A Technique I Saw Online

I saw some images posted online from the airshow at Salinas and some of them had what (to my eyes) looked to be a Photoshop-induced "reflecting pond" in front of the subject.

I was just dinking around in CS5 and wondered if this looks even remotely convincing?  Perhaps the "ripple" isn't necessary?  Opinions Sought...



This is the kind of thing where my lack of artistic ability really bites...   :(

Ok,  I like the concept but no offense it looks fake to me.  Maybe a little less ripple effect?  It is a nice idea though maybe a little more practice it could be great.

I think I need to find a shot with a higher POV as well.  Maybe something from off a ladder at Willy.

I'll keep trying to beat it into submission.
