The video camera (trying to learn something new) had dibs on the tripod... Handheld at 1/4 second (100mm, 4000 ISO, f5.0) - Ok, elbows propped atop the fence - but still, it was pretty darn dark out there at 8pm.

At sea? Nope. At desert.

Note: This jet's wingman took the approach end barrier on the right runway. This was this jet's full stop landing after chasing the other jet to the barrier engagement.
No clue what happened (I had just parked and had no scanner), but it all worked out. The runway was closed for a while for a FOD sweep, to clear the "men and equipment",
tow the disabled jet to the ramp (pilot was riding the brakes), and to reset the barrier/cable.
