At the last AzAP meeting, we unanimously agreed to implement a new photo "challenge" feature.  This is a contest in which members are challenged to submit a new photo that was taken within the challenge contest dates to the forum within the challenge period (roughly 30 days), after which members will vote on all the photos submitted and the winner will designate the theme or topic of the next challenge.

1. Assignment contests will run on a roughly 45-day cycle, with alternate start dates of the 15th and the 1st of the month.  This will allow 30 days for members to take a NEW, original photo that fits the theme of the assignment and post it to the forum, a week for voting, and another week for the winner to come up with a new assignment topic for the next contest.  If the AzAP member who submitted the winning photo does not select a new topic, one will be selected by the AzAP executive committee (most likely an individual member who volunteers for the assignment/theme stuff)"

2. One photo per member (you can change your photo as many times as you like until the deadline).

3. Photos should be uploaded directly to the "Assignment/Theme Photo Contest" thread for the current contest.

4. Voting will begin on_______, 2009 and will end on________, 2009. You can only vote for one photo and it cannot be your own.

5. The winning photographer will select the theme for the next assignment.  Keep in mind that assignments that are aircraft-specific or airport-specific may limit the ability of other members to participate.

6. In the event of a tie vote, a special 72-hour run-off voting session will start immediately after the standard voting session closes.  You will have three days to vote for one of the tied winning photos.

7. Have Fun!

Note: Please do not post any photos after the deadline.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."
