Lightroom problems

Is anybody else having problems with the latest update to Lightroom Classic CC (version 7.3)? It keeps freezing up on my Windows 10 machine. The screen goes kind of white and I get that "is not responding" message at the top of the screen. Nothing to do at that point but close the program. Luckily I don't seem to have lost anything.

I decided to revert to version 7.2 and now I don't seem to have the problem anymore.

Upon first Lr access post update I got the dreaded "Your catalog is corrupt - sucks being you" message. 
Found the last backup, unzipped it, opened it in Lr - it worked! Immediately saved that cat upon shutdown.
Re-opened Lr and all is well. Only lost a couple weeks of misc snaps. Sure was scary though for a little while.
