Blue Angels and the Super Hornet?

Attached is a screenshot from the latest edition of Aviation Week (Feb26 - Mar11, 2018 edition) from the 'letter to the editors/feedback' section of the magazine.  Other than idol banter about how cool it would be to see the Blue Angels flying Super Hornets, this is the first time I've heard of anyone saying they were actually flying Super Hornets.  Having just participated in the latest NAF El Centro photocall, I can vouch that the Blue Angels were in no way flying Super Hornets that day, nor were there any Super Hornets anywhere on the ramp at NAF El Centro.  So I'm not sure where he's getting his information from, but it doesn't seem to be too accurate.
