HDR Critique

Yesterday I spent the evening on the Mclintock Bridge over Tempe Town Lake, shooting the sunset.  I couldn't have asked for better clouds and colors.  I shot a ton of bracketed shots with the thinking of doing some HDR composites once I returned to the lab.  I've dabbled, but never had any real success with them.

This was a 5 stop bracket, moving in 1 stop intervals.  Starting at -2 and finishing at +2.  Some of you may have seen this image already for it is on each of my major image sharing social sites.  I'd like any critique or open criticism you may have.

P.S.  Since I would shoot a bracket of images overtime the sky color would change, I have this composition with a few different variations in color.  This was just the one that grabbed me the most.

HDR, bracketed shots...  A technique I am trying to add to my workflow.  I haven't quite found the magic sauce, that I like yet, with what I have tried.

The most egregious thing I see in a lot of HDR work is the lack of deep shadows.

People go to great lengths to get their contrast ratio between 5 and 7 on a scale of 0 to 10.

This has depth and weight and IMO, is well done.
