My one good look at the Corsair by itself at Madras...
It's not pin sharp and it needed SRT* but at least I got a sorta keeper

Very nice static!! Looks like Quantico!

Cool shot. Interesting that they set the prop pitch at an angle that would be associated with relatively high speed flight. Looks cool that way, a bit less static. Normally you see them at a fairly flat angle on the ground.  Even with the rounded flying surface tips and some fabric covering the Corsair strikes me as a more modern looking aircraft than say a P-51 even though it's older. Maybe it's the fact that they stayed in service with some US squadrons until the late fifties and were even painted in the same scheme as F-4s and F-8s.

Yup.  This is Quantico.  There's another Corsair that positioned higher than this one and appears to be painted in a color scheme that is more relevant to Marine Corsairs flown in WWII.  This Corsair is painted to represent Marine Corsairs flown during the Korean conflict. Thanks for the feedback.

Very nice tight shot Vance, one of the coolest war birds, right up there with the Mustang.
